最近发现一个挺不错的英语节目——“动感英语”。通过原版影片片段的介绍，教你一些美国俚语。节目时间只有15分钟左右，教的东西也不多，有足够的时间让你消化。CCTV6，晚上七点左右开始。大家有兴趣可以看看 :em02: 。Y

1.throw it all away 浪费机会（个人觉得他是泛指的“机会”，不是具体的某个机会）
eg. He was a great success until he threw it all away gambling.（这句句子我不大明白，大家帮忙分析分析）
他曾是个成功人士，直到他放弃了机会而去赌博。
eg.You could do so much with your life.So don't quit school and throw it all away
2........till the end of somebody's days 直到某人死的那天
eg. He lived in the same apartment till the end of his days.
他一辈子住在那套公寓里知道她死去的那天
3.keep a low profile 保持低调（high profile 高调）
eg.I was late for work today.I shoud keep a low profile so the boss doesn't notice me .
我今天上班迟到了，我最好保持低调以免被老板发现。

昨天光顾着吃饭了 :em06: ，急急忙忙开电视，还是漏掉了一部分。
1.hand it to ya =congratulation 其中ya=you
eg.I don't know how you meet so many girls,I have to hand it to ya .
2.come through 帮助（在关键时刻帮了某人一把，带点雪中送炭的意思，一般用过去式）
eg.My brother really came through when he lent me the money to pay for college.

eg.You threw me surprise party.You 're such a sneak.
eg.You sneak!How did you get into the movie without pay.
2.good for a laugh 很风趣，很逗
eg.The movie is worth seeing ,it's good for a laugh.
eg.My uncle's always good for a laugh .He tells funny storys.
3.heavy 除了表示“重”，还可以来形容人或东西很深沉很深刻
eg.The book I'm reading is heavy,it makes me think serious about my life .
eg.Jim is a heavy guy.He always talks about philosophy. |

1.piss it away 浪费（=waste）
eg.My father thinks I'm pissing my life away because I'm in a rock band.
eg.I could have gone to Sydney but I pissed all my money away gambling.
2.give someone blessing 给某人祝福
eg.They wanted to get married so I gave them my blessing .They make a lovely couple.
3.never look back 永远不后悔（look back后悔）
eg.After I moved to Beijing I never looked back .I love it here. |

1.give someone a hand 帮助（help多简单啊，真搞不懂为啥要弄那么长一个）
eg.Could you give me a hand and pass me the scissors?I can't reach them myself.
eg.Why don't you give dad a hand with garbage?It looks heavy.
2.What's the deal? 怎么搞的？怎么回事？(=what's going on =what happen)
eg.You said you'd pick me up at 10 and it't 11,What' the deal?
eg.What's the deal,are you coming to the party or not?
3.be smart about something 聪明一点
eg.You have to be smart about the kinds of friends you make.Not everyone is honest.
eg.If you want to be a famous actress,you have to be smart about it and take good roles. |

1.how come(=why , how come+陈诉句，why+一般疑问句)
eg.How come yo are always late for work?
eg.I wonder how come Beth scored better than Bob on the exam when Bob's English is much better.
2.pass away (逝世，就是die 的婉转说法)
eg.Jaff's grandparents passed away last year in an auto accident.
eg.Tom was very sad when his dog passed away after ten years.
3.master's 硕士学位
eg.I'm thinking about going back to school to get my Master's.
eg.He has a bachelor's degree in Philosoghy and a master's in Art history.

1.run around 1.表示在很短的时间内去了很多地方 2.沾花惹草、欺骗
eg. After running around doing all of those errands, I just wants to have a rest.
eg.He is a very good husband and never runs around on his wife
2.look out(for sb)照顾、关照
eg.I have three elder brother who look out for me.
3.call for (+sb.找某人，+sth.预测)
eg.(打电话)
A:Hello?
B:Yes,I'm calling for Ann,is she there?
eg.They are calling for rain tomorrow so I don't think we will be able to visit the zoo.

1.ditch 抛弃、摆脱=get it off
eg.Your car is a worthless piece of junk.You should ditch it by the side of the road.
2.work on (=spend time improve sth.)
eg. You play tennis very well but I think you should work on your backhand stroke.
3.hold it 等一下
eg. Hold it ! this bottle is leaking .Use a different one. |

2.make sb. look bad 让某人难堪
eg.I had a job interview yesterday but I arrived late,which made me look bad.
3.grant sb. one's reguest 批准某人的要求
eg.The embassy granted me my visa request so now I can book my airline ticket. |

eg.the door is jammed.I can't get it open.
eg.The highway is jammed with cars at rush hour every day.
3.put all of one's eggs in one basket 孤注一掷
eg.You should really keep your options open rather than put all of your eggs in one basket.
